In the process of electric dehydration of ternary composite oil displacement, due to the  addition  of a  large  number  of chemical  agents  to  the  oil  displacement  agent,  the physical  and  chemical  properties  of  crude  oil  and  the  characteristics  of the  oil-water interface film when the water droplets coalesce are changed, resulting in the increase of crude oil conductivity, viscosity and the difficulty of coalescence between water droplets, so  that  the  dehydration  efficiency  of  crude  oil  decreases,  the  dehydroelectric  field  is unstable, and the water content of crude oil is high in the process of dehydration, and the electric dehydration efficiency of crude oil and the export of crude oil are directly affected.

The company took the oil-water  separator treatment of high water cut crude oil project  as  an  opportunity  to  introduce  electric  dehydration  technology,  established  an electric dehydration test base  and platform,  conducted  sampling  research  on  crude  oil across the country, developed electric dehydration technology, and carried out research on various reaction conditions, and mastered the treatment effect of reaction conditions (field strength,  frequency, voltage)  on  different  oil products  (viscosity,  droplet  size,  density) crude oil, after treatment, the water content of the oil can be reduced to less than 0.5%. At the same time, the reliability test of R&D equipment parts and components ensures the stable operation of the equipment, which lays a good foundation for the application of this technology in the field of electric dehydration.
